Volume 2 mostly contains model drawings of infantry colours
in accordance to the regulation of 1686. The first four are actually part
of volume 1 (which contains the
m/1686 cavalry standards) but I have included them here so that all infantry
colours can be found in one page. Note that "Drottningens
livregemente till fot" (just like many cavalry regiments) has duplicates.
This is because Olof Hoffman originally made three sets of m/1686 model
drawings.
Located at the end of this volume, there are three additional
model drawings which are not part of the official m/1686 suite. The last of
them depicts the colour of Lewenhaupt's regiment which was raised for the
Swedish auxiliary corps which fought in the War of the League of Augsburg (1688-1697).
That colour would become the prototype for the colours that were issued to
enlisted regiments in the Great Northern War.
